Soner Astan: My Tech Journey From Berlin to Heilbronn

I am Soner Astan, originally from Berlin, Germany. After completing my Abitur, I moved to Heilbronn to pursue a integrated degree programm in Business Informatics at DHBW Heilbronn, in partnership with Lidl Deutschland in Bad Wimpfen. It was during this time that I discovered my passion for software development.

I have always been keen to explore and learn new technologies, and my affinity for logical, structured thinking has drawn me particularly towards backend development, which I find both exciting and fulfilling. However, I quickly learned that an application without even a hint of an appealing user interface cannot be truly user-friendly. This realization led me to expand my skill set by delving into frontend development as well.

Over time, as I familiarized myself with the necessary technologies, my focus naturally shifted towards cloud-native development. I am now dedicated to mastering event-driven architectures, moving beyond the traditional synchronous microservice communication.

My ultimate goal is to join a company as a developer after completing my studies, ideally specializing in backend development.
